I am already a week behind on this. The new version of Drupal has been released! I did a clean install on my web server just to try if the installation process was improved. It was so smooth! I had no problem at all. Improved MySQL schema and deprecated old template engine helped me alot. So, I recommend strongly to try this version if you previously had a problem installing Drupal.
Drupal is a very nice web site framework already. I am sure these improvements on installation process will help many others as well.
